Telehealth therapy offers the same high-quality care as face-to-face sessions (see Individual or Couples/Family Therapy for full descriptions), with the added convenience of joining from anywhere in Florida—on any device. It also saves you the stress of commuting and navigating traffic.

At Blooming Minds, we provide therapy through secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software that uses bank-level encryption to protect your privacy. Sessions begin promptly at your scheduled time.

How It Works
A few minutes before your appointment, you’ll receive an email notification with a secure link. Simply click, and your therapist will appear on screen—ready to begin your session.

Eligibility for Virtual Therapy
Our goal is for therapy to be a positive, effective, and safe experience. To ensure success, we have developed the following criteria for participation in our Virtual Therapy program:

  • Therapeutic Alliance: One of the strongest predictors of successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. While this is often best built in person, many clients benefit greatly from virtual sessions.

  • Age & Maturity: Children must be at least 10 years old and able to stay engaged with minimal redirection to participate in virtual therapy. Younger children who require more physical interaction and guidance are better served in person.

  • Safety Considerations: Virtual therapy is not appropriate for high-risk patients. This includes individuals who are self-injurious, experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts, actively psychotic, or significantly non-compliant with medication.

Important Note
For existing clients, eligibility for telehealth sessions is ongoing. If circumstances change and you become high-risk, in-office appointments may be required to ensure your safety and the effectiveness of treatment.
